Hereford Musical Theatre Company

Productions - The Boyfriend

The show is set in the French Riviera in the 1920s at the Villa Caprice, a finishing school, where the perfect young ladies are contemplating with excitement the up and coming Carnival Ball. All have partners except Polly Brown; enter the delivery boy, Tony; they hit it off instantly, only to be thwarted by a case of mistaken identity.

But it all ends happily in this show that has a wonderful varied score, recalling popular songs from the 1920s including 'Won't You Charleston With Me'. 'It's Never Too Late to Fall in Love', 'I could be Happy with You' and, of course, the title song 'The Boy Friend'.
The show is very evocative of a past era where life was at a slower pace, they had time to laugh, they dressed with style and above all they had fun!

Join us for an evening of pure nostalgia and you won't be disappointed as The Boy Friend is a happy, amiable and funny show.
